Logo of Loconomy

  • Loconomy is a new Community Benefit Society based in St Paul’s Centre in Bordesley Green, East Birmingham.
  • Loconomy has put together a team of individual community associates and community organisations to deliver the programme. These include: Co-Operative Futures and the Community Environmental Trust (CET).
  • We are a spin off from The Pioneer Group with a track record of delivering a range of programmes in east Birmingham.
  • Our mission is to create social justice by building strong local economies.
  • We work in partnership with local community anchor organisations and the opportunity to work with ten organisations in an action learning network is hugely exciting for us.
  • We seek to build bridges between communities and public and private sector institutions to create employment pathways and have played an important role as one of several referral agencies supporting University Hospital Trust on their ICAN entry level jobs programme.
  • We are working in six East Birmingham schools providing coach mentoring services with a cohort of year 10 and year 11 pupils.
