Arts In The Yard (AITY) is a leading community organisation which developed out of Birmingham’s Local Arts Forum network. By curating arts projects across the constituency of Yardley and beyond, we develop, enable and enrich the local community through art activities, events and projects. We aim to be inclusive for all, whatever your background, ethnicity, age or ability, we welcome you.
For over a decade AITY has co-produced art and cultural initiatives alongside and across the communities of Yardley constituency. This includes community events, collaborative projects and wellbeing sessions such as seated yoga and walking. And so, we work with residents and other local partners to ensure our neighbourhoods are vibrant, inclusive and welcoming places.
AITY is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) governed by a board of trustees who, alongside varied professional roles, have experience as Yardley residents. The delivery team for Arts In The Yard are made up of local residents who care deeply about their communities and those that live there.
